My co-worker just came and told me that working in an office is starting to get to him. He showed me the call log on his cell phone, and pointed out the calls he tried to make over the weekend that wouldn't go through. Why? Because he dialed 9 before the number. You know, for an outside line. I responded with, "Welcome."
This is something I've been doing for years now. In fact, when I dial a phone number, any phone number, I have to think for a minute or so about whether or not I need to dial a 9 first. In fact, even between my cell and landlines - do I need to dial a 1? 9-1-number, 1-number, or just number?
It's about as annoying as dreaming about work.
